Let me tell you all about Indian Head Massage because you are probably curious. Indian Head Massage has been around for over 4000 years and originated in India. The UK got a hold of it and modified it to be more "spa like" to suit people all over the world. Traditionally IHM is done on street corners and only mustard oil is used to vigorously massage the scalp. That is NOT AT ALL what I do.
Here is what I do:
For each session you choose your blend of essential oils from a list of oils with their therapeutic properties. These oils are used for anything from as simple as stress relief to hair loss prevention. You choose whatever suits you. Mix and match if you would like. I pre-blend them with fractionated coconut oil and let you "sample" them with your senses to make sure you like the scent, after all, you are the one wearing it for the next hour. The oils are applied to your scalp before the massage is performed. The first part of the massage is for the mid/upper back, shoulders and neck. This portion of the massage is done with hot stones. The hot stones melt away the tension to get a deeper release and relax. A stress melt if you will. Once that portion of the massage is done the head massage commences done by hand only. Next up is a facial massage done by hand finishing up with marble cool stones to help gently wake you back up. I guarantee you will feel amazing!
