Burner phone options

I've seen it a little in other threads but it's hard to find. What are good options for aquiring a discreet burner phone? Discretion being the priority, cost second plus ease of use.

Not sure if this is an option for you but if you're just need a number to text anonymously for escorts and alike then you can use an app like Text+.

It assigns you a local phone number and you can text and even call from it. Pay a small yearly fee and you'll get to keep the number as long as you keep paying. Log out of the app when you don't want to receive calls or text when you don't want them.

^FYI the text apps crash often and uses up the battery faster than normal text. Plus some escorts block text app numbers.

I rarely have a problem with crashes. Which app do you use? May also depend on the phone you're using.

Also how do they know the number is from a text app to block it? Its a valid 647 number assigned by CNA. They could block an unknown number because it doesn't have a name associated to it but that would be blocking many of their clientele from all companies.

I'd rather have a separate phone for it. I know SevenEleven has a cell service but not sure how good it is, or how discreet, so thought I'd look for options.

What about Rogers pay as you go...you can get a flip phone, decent for short texts and calling, or something a bit better...no idea of cost...I have an old iPhone that I was going to use for this, but then it might look weird if I was checking it often

You will look weird with 2 phones...unless your willing to explain everytime why ....just use Test plus

Well, one phone could be put away and only used for hobbying...that's not hard. I'm more concerned with a message showing up on the phone I carry.

I'm more concerned with a message showing up on the phone I carry.

Change your settings so messsages don’t appear on the locked screen, simple.
And, use your phone lock so nobody can “accidentally” look at your phone.

How often has anyone had a “problem” with hobbying using their phone? I’m sure it’s not as common as most think. After 100’s of interactions, I’ve never once had an issue that blocking a # immediately solved.

All the apps I've seen are advertising-supported and crash if heavily used. Many escorts have switched to burner phones with real numbers for this reason.

You can check the carrier by doing a reverse search on Canada411. If it comes up as "landline" with a data company like Iristel or Distributel, instead of a cell number with a recognized wireless provider, it's a text app.

For FREE I use TextNow app for free anonymous text and phone. Yes they will try to up-sell you on paid services, just ignore the ads. As long as you use it once a month they will not close your account. They will even send you a reminder text to use the service. Been using this for about a year with no problems.

That's interesting...do they give you a dedicated phone number that you can use for voice?

^Yes you can make calls with it. Sound quality is worse than regular voice calls due to compression.

Be sure to go into the settings and turn off signatures, or it'll append "-Sent free from TextNow.com" to every text you send.
