I couldnt wait, so I bought Apple just now.

Paid $270 USD

In 2 years, I expect it to be well over $350 USD.

Easy 30% on $5,000 USD.

I know Apple will end the day down from $270, but I cant time the market, so I just bought now.

I have no patience of any kind, even when I invest in the stock market.

Next week is probably a better time to buy, but this week Apple is still cheap.

Good for you. I have not been in the stock market for a long time. I had inside information on three different companies and made money on each. Most people I know lose money - they do not have the patience and discipline to do the research, get in and out at the right times. This is true of me also, I was just lucky. One of the stocks was an IPO from a company I worked for. Me and my coworkers became obsessed with the ups and downs of the stock price and nobody got much work done. It was a roller-coaster ride.

I got in Apple last year around $170 but sold way too early at around $220 and had to watch in pain as it climbed to around $330.

I just sold a bunch of stocks today to raise cash to shuffle into higher quality companies. Apple is on my list but I think there's a good chance it will drift lower.

It's around $266 right now. I'm actually hoping for more blood on the street.

All of the massaive gains that were made during the month of January are all gone now. I don't think it has much to do about the CoronaVirus. It is just a market correction. Don't panic though because it will go back up again. It's a good time to buy, now that the prices are lower.

Back in the early 80's (I am dating myself), when the USSR and nuclear winter were real threats, for my own amusement I started asking people if they thought they would see the end of the world in their lifetimes. I was surprised by how many did. For all it's problems the world has improved quite a bit since that time, and this has reinforced my natural optimism. But this year is a year of crisis - the Carona virus is a serious threat, a long over-due recession/depression may be coming soon, identity politics is dividing people into warring camps, there is rising totalitarianism, serious economic inequality over most of the planet, climate change, rising ocean levels ... I personally think we are in for a tough time but we will get through it, and perhaps even prosper in a few years. How about you guys? Is 2020 just a year of crisis or is it the beginning of the end?

I guess WW1 and WW2 were nothing. The Spanish flu was nothing. Genghis Khan was a nobody. The Black Plague was nothing. Put things in perspective for a bit.
