Deepika FR - Season 2, Episode 6: Shabari
Wanted to hit Raj Mahal to experience the tantrums of waiters and girls. Put the address on maps and started walking. When I reached Deepika, the taklu waiter spotted me and grabbed me inside.
He said, “Kya bolu Sir, mai aaj hi aapko yaad kar raha tha! Kitna time ho gaya aap aya nahi”.
He took me upstairs. The DB was almost full but no action going on. Reshma, Bindiya along with few other girls surrounded me. It was apparent i wouldn’t be able to use my phone camera. Red coatwala Vijay met and shook hands.
The taklu waiter asked me for drinks. I told him, “Mera favorite drink karde ek”. He gave me a cheesy smile and said, “Kingfischer na Sir”. I was aware of his drama all this while, but to keep up with it, I said, “Aaj Carlsberg la de”.
Kept 10k on table and Asked Taklu waiter for Rubina. He said she doesn’t work there anymore. I wasn’t surprised being aware of it already, I asked him to fetch someone else for me.
He brought Neha. Slim, young, dusky, okayish looking chick. Asked her to start dancing. She wasn’t as good as Rubina, but not bad either.
Asked her name, she said something. Asked again and she put her right hand forward to show me her name Tattoo.
Bindiya was eyeing me. Asked Bindiya and Neha both to start dancing. Decided to continue with whoever wins. It seemed Neha wasn’t getting enough space to perform. Told Neha Baad me bulata hu.
Bindiya danced on 8-10 more songs. Neha was still standing near to my table. Gave her 500 and said, “Bura to nahi laga?” I could sense the discomfort on her face, so told her I would make her dance exclusively some other day.
Talked to Bindiya and came to know she’s not Bengali, like most girls in DB bars are. She said she’s Maharashtrian. Asked her about Rubina. Bindiya said she quit due to some money issues with the bar management.
“Wo kab se tera wait kar rahi hai. November me bol k tu aya nahi”, she said.
Reshma was eyeing me all this while seated at table next to me. Had no plans to make her dance as she has the enthusiasm of a bored housewife running the vacuum.
There were at least 2 guys keeping an eye on me. One, who was seated diagonally opposite to me, seemed chilled though. Waved him couple of times. Other, who was seated behind me was as serious as young Amitabh Bacchan. He initially was seated behind my table facing away from me. Later he switched to other side of his table probably to see me better, or watch my chicks dance for free. Who knows.
Took Bindiya’s and taklu waiters number on their insistence. Had no plans to visit there again though. Bindiya said, she will let Rubina know I am gonna visit her. Since I had no such plans, asked her not to do so, giving reason that I would rather give Rubina a surprise visit.
Told taklu waiter to get auto ready to Yogi hotel. He always follows me downstairs to get extra tips.
