Thought I'd comment on this. The last time there was $2.00/gal gas, plus those other factors was early 2016 when Obama was President. There was $2.00 gas for a brief period during Trump's term in early 2020, but strong economy? Not so much as this was when Covid hit, markets lost around 35%, and unemployment went to Great Depression levels. Look at Trump's mid term in 2018, where gas was close to $3.00/gal.
