An underage student in Singapore used up his SGD500 monthly allowance (approximately RM1,600) someplace no one would have expected.
The 16-year-old had no choice but to ask for extra allowance from his father after spending the previous one at a massage centre that comes with a “happy ending”.
The boy received a friend request on WeChat, which he approved, and the person on the other end claimed to be a masseuse from the nearby massage centre and told him that she provided a “happy ending” service.
It didn’t take long for their conversation to turn explicit, involving talks about sexual services and the prices.
The one-time experience turned addictive, prompting the boy to visit the massage centre multiple times, but his secret came to light after he had used up his monthly allowance.
His father, Mr Chan, who shared the story with Shin Ming Daily News, was puzzled and asked his wife if she had given the kid his monthly allowance. The parents then “interrogated” their son and compelled him to tell them about his money, to which he eventually admitted.
Shockingly, the boy used more than his monthly allowance on the massage services.
He emptied his piggy bank and used up all the Angpow money from CNY worth SGD1,000 (approximately RM3,300) at the massage centre.
The parent then lodged a police report against the massage parlour for “seducing” his son. The pair visited the massage parlour to confront the employees there, and the mum also noticed something fishy as the premises were dimmed. However, Mr Chan admitted that his son was also at fault.
As for the boy, his phone has been confiscated, and his monthly allowance is now given daily. Mr Chan said this was done to ensure his son had just enough money for the day, and taking the boy’s phone away would cease his conversation with the masseuse.
Dear parents, how would you handle this situation?

“He was stubborn and refused to speak until we told him that we would call the police if he remained silent. We then checked his mobile phone and discovered the conversations between him and the masseuse.”

“Why would the massage parlour prey on teenagers?”
