199 rmb per night for a single room, is it a reasonable price?

Motel 168 is a good place and have a 3 star feel and it is cheap. At least the sheets dont smell. Internet is also included with the price 200rmb. Also very girl firendly.

Stayed at Motel168 on three of my four trips to china. I see the price has actually gone down. TV & Internet (fast)are very good there. A bed is a bed. In china they are all hard. Stayed at more expensive hotels with the exact same amenities. No free breakfast? Big deal. 25 yuan, about $3.00 for all you can eat. By the way you can rest assured that what you see is what you'll get. Enjoy china, I did.

Obviously 199 is a fairly low price but need more info. Are you on a really tight budget or just happy to find a deal? A hotel, service apartment, room in a flat? What part of town ? What is the address? If you give the name of the place maybe somebody knows it. Ive paid about the same at hotel168 & wasn't that bad. Ive also paid the same for another place that turned out to be a bordering hotel. I would never go back to that one even if it was 100 a night. You can get a room at the Green tree on Wuding lu for about 240 and it is very clean & near Tongren.

I found a place in Shanghai that costs 199 rmb per night (no breakfast, no internet, no window). Do you think it's worth it? Or is it too dangerous to live in such room (i.e. it may be scam)? Thanks
