NOpe, haven't dipped the stick there yet, but looking forward to my 1st trip to LOS in Sept.

What are the good places some of you have been that are right there where the action is? Also, if I arrive at some ungodly hour like at 2am, where would I go (to sleep that is, since I'll be so damn tired from jet lag)?

Yes better to book online or there. One hotel I would suggest is Stoney Monday Oasis Hotel www.stoneymondayhotels.com you can get a room around 1000 baht that time of year. Plus if you are staying a few days they will pick you up at airport. AND best of all NO LADY JOINER FEE !!!!
Check out the Aussie Bar in Soi Easy and The Tiger Bar in Soi Gonzo while in town. Good and friendly guys own them.

I would HATE to stay in Patong! I stay in Karon, less then 15 minutes away with the bike!

I rent an little local house, don't get borred with hotel-employees, and Karon has a nicer bar-scene!

When I don't find the girl of my likings, take my bike and go for hunt in Patong, or even Kata. Take her back on the bike, if I like her let her stay longer, if I don't, start over next day!!!!

Had less trouble in general with the Karton girls! The one I had from Patong wanted more to go out with their friends at night!
