Two women were arrested after authorities conducted a raid at an East Northport massage parlor on Friday afternoon, police say.
Authorities conducted an investigation into illegal activities at The Spa, located at 376 Larkfield Road, in response to numerous community complaints, police say.
The raid was conducted at 2:28 p.m. and led to the arrest of Ling Gao, 53, and Xiaoguang Li, 45, both of Flushing.
They were both charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, which is a Class E felony under the NYS Education Law. Li was additionally charged with two counts of prostitution.
An investigation by Town of Huntington Code Enforcement officers also revealed the location had numerous occupancy and Town code violations, police say.
Li and Gao were scheduled to be arraigned at a later date at First District Court in Central Islip.
The raid was conducted by Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers, Suffolk County Police Criminal Intelligence Section detectives, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security special agents and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement officers.
