2 more charged with unlicensed massage - Jackson Sun

Two women working at massage parlors were arraigned Friday on charges of impersonation of a licensed professional.

According to court documents, one woman was arrested when investigators with the Jackson Police Department Special Operations served a search warrant at Jackson #1 Massage, at 566-C Carriage House Drive, on Tuesday.

Juan Zhang, 54, was the only masseuse in the building at the time of the search, and she had a client on a table unclothed and waiting for his massage, court documents say. Police found out that Zhang is not licensed as a masseuse in Tennessee.

Jackson Police Department spokesman Lt. Derick Tisdale said Jackson #1 Massage was not served with a nuisance summons, though officers did serve a search warrant. Tisdale said police have not closed the business.

A second woman, Zhu Yueming, 64, was working at Diamond Massage without a masseuse license, court documents say. Yueming had a client when police served a search warrant and a public nuisance summons at Diamond Massage, at 31 Bowling Drive, on Tuesday, court documents say.

Police closed Diamond Massage, along with Kinja Spa and Beijing Massage, on Tuesday under public nuisance actions against the businesses. The petitions allege that officers noted illegal activity, including prostitution and promotion of prostitution, at the businesses. The investigation began in 2015, and police said it is ongoing. A hearing on the nuisance petitions has been scheduled for Tuesday in Chancery Court.

Two women who were working at Kinja Spa were arraigned in City Court on Thursday, also on charges of impersonation of a licensed professional, according to court documents.

Myung Bruck, 60, and Packy Tifft, 59, were working in Kinja Spa on Tuesday when investigators met with them. Court documents say investigators were serving a search warrant at the spa, as well as a public nuisance summons, when they saw both Bruck and Tifft with clients. The women were asked to show their licenses to operate as a masseuse, which neither could provide, according to court documents.

A man was arraigned Wednesday in Jackson City Court and charged with criminal trespass during the operation.

Robert Meisinger was arrested after he refused to leave Kinja Spa when police attempted to close the business, court documents say. Meisinger was inside Kinja Spa when police arrived, and officers took his phone as evidence before asking him multiple times to leave, according to court documents.
