LECLAIRE, Iowa (KWQC) - Two women are facing a prostitution charge after deputies say they offered sexual favors during a massage.
After an undercover operation at KT Rose Spa in LeClaire on Tuesday, 45-year-old Xuemei Wu and 53-year-old Yalan Chen were charged with prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to an arrest affidavit:
Members of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit Task Force were undercover after complaints about sexual favors being offered during and after massages.
A member of the task force requested a 30-minute massage from Wu.
During the massage, Wu asked the undercover officer if he would like sexual acts with her and her co-worker, later identified as Chen.
Later, during interviews, Chen denied any involvement in the business and stated she did not give any massages and was purely here for “fun” but did not elaborate on what that meant.
A confidential source positively identified Chen as someone who had offered them sexual favors during a previous incident.
Wu did not speak with agents.
Officers executed a search warrant and found that both Wu and Chen appeared to be living at the business. Several unused condoms were found in the “bedroom” areas as well.
According to court records, Wu and Chen are set for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 12 at the Scott County Courthouse. Both are out on bond.
