We are pleased to announce The Alliance for Massage Therapy Education (AFMTE) as MASSAGE Magazine’s 2022 Champion Award winner. AFMTE’s continuous work to strengthen and elevate massage therapy education and standards through supporting, credentialing, and engaging educators positively impacts the industry from the ground up and helps move us closer to becoming a “full profession.”


As the field of massage therapy moves forward in its evolution, it is clear that the education sector must have a champion of its own. AFMTE stands for the interests of the massage therapy education sector and has taken its place among the other stakeholder groups that comprise the massage therapy and bodywork field. AFMTE brings benefit to schools, teachers, practitioners, and resource partners, along with everyone in the general public who receives massage therapy and bodywork.
