FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) - Police say they have charged a second woman on promotion of prostitution charges after the arrest in Raleigh about two weeks ago of the owner of several massage parlors in North Carolina.
The latest arrest happened Wednesday and involved Dao Thi Holley, 73, of Raeford, Fayetteville police said.
Angel Ming Lin, 46, of Winston-Salem was charged July 10 with promotion of prostitution and keeping a place for prostitution as part of the investigation, Fayetteville police said.
Police say Lin owned Sunshine Studios, located along the 2000 block of Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville, Red Rose Studios located along the 7000 block of Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville and Numi Day Spa located in Durham.
The offenses involving Lin occurred between January 2017 and July 2018, police said.
Raleigh police took Lin into custody, and she was later transferred to the Cumberland County Detention Center where she is being held under a $1 million secured bond.
Holley, whose arrest is linked to Lin's, was charged with promotion of prostitution and keeping a place for prostitution.
Holley was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center where she received a $50,000 unsecured bond.
Police said the case is an on-going investigation.
