5 can't miss monger experiences in CR...

Just as an addendum to my recent series of trip reports, wanted to offer my two cents on the above topic. Let's say (heaven forbid) that you were limited to only five venues in Costa Rica - which ones are the absolute must-do's? Criteria are availabilty of top-level girls, value for money, uniqueness, and variety of experience (best mix of hooker bars, strip clubs, massage parlors). Okay, here goes...

1. Blue Marlin. Obviously a no-brainer. It would be quite possible to spend your whole time here and never get bored. Nothing quite like it anywhere.

2. Beatle Bar (Jaco). Definitely worth the trip to the beach - the girls compare very favorably to the BM; it's also looser and more laid back.

3. Club Kamur. Everything a strip club should be - hot action, fun girls, great layout, and they don't rob you on the drinks.

4. Bar Idem. The class of the massage parlors. Great selection of girls offering top-flight services.

5. Oasis. At 10,000 colones/hour, fantastic value for the money, nice selection of girls, great service.

Among the other contenders, I have to say I was a little disappointed with Zona Blue, New Fantasy, Scarletts, Lipsticks, and Key Largo for various reasons, but your mileage may vary. Comments are welcome...

If a chica working at the Beatle Bar is somewhat hot and semi aggressive, how many monger would she do in a night? 1, 2, more? I k now the Beatle Bar does not have the convenience of a hotel upstairs.

If Jacques' daughter Bridget is working, she's fun. She isn't on the menu, but is nice to talk to. I haven't seen her since they moved to Jaco, though I've run into Jacques a few times when he comes to SJ. He used to drink at the bar at the Prez once in a while. I used to walk into town from Barrio California almost every night and dance at the Beatle Bar when it was in the location that became the Voodoo Lounge. That was December, either 96 or 97, I'm not sure which.

sorry we missed your top 5 places in CR.. but maybe we will make it next time. :wink: some feedback as to what was the experience.. this way we can fix it learn from it and make sure other people have a better experience.

this type of feedback is crucial for us and we realize that every day is a new day and we have to keep on top of that ( which is a challange in itself)

I feel one of the weakest links is the miscommunication that occurs at the front desk because of non english speaking people???? that has been one of my biggest observations

many of the CRT VIPS know me well enough to know that Wanda and I sincerly want to make zona blue number 1 and that will always be a work in progress.

so please all chime in and give some feedback...

I am close to agreeing with you....but would have to add Zona Blue to the mix ....clean friendly place and worth the extra cost compared to Oasis which has the worst set-up i've seen in a MP ..although the girl I did there was top notch

And although I got a good one at Oasis my two friends did not, which I think would be less likely at ZB

I have been to Idem numerous times, I have yet to waste time on a massage, that great place is a brothel. GFE is the top of the menu, I find a two hour session is about right if I remember to go sloooooooww.

Just some quick reaction to the comments received so far...

I would certainly be willing to try Zona Blue again. However, my experience there (as detailed in my Day 2 trip report) just wasn't as hot or satisfying as that received at the other two massage parlors I went to (including the massage itself). Hooking up with the girls seemed a little more awkward too - the television in the lounge is definitely a distraction. Also, if the house is going to supply condoms at all, please make sure they are good quality!

Idem is probably not actually a massage parlor in the classic sense, but my session there did include a massage - and a great one at that!

Oasis may be a more of a bare-bones operation, but I had a great session there, and you can't beat the price.

Don't know how anyone could get bored at the Beatle Bar. I was there on two weeknights, and both nights it was very busy with lots of hot girls to choose from. And if you get there early, you can always kill some time playing pool or foosball. I think the girls are also less likely to do multiples in the same night - both of my sessions there were all-nighters.

Next time ask for Sacha or Paola at ZB (or, better yet, both). You won't regret it--and may have to revise your list.

Oasis definitely has the best looking MP girls at a great price, but for me the lousy massage tables sometimes really get in the way of a great experience. :evil:

Great meeting you too. Your post brings up an interesting point - it really all comes down to the actual provider. If a girl is inexperienced, lacks energy, or you just don't have any rapport with her, then it really doesn't matter how nice the surroundings are (the converse is true as well). Anyway, on my next visit to Zona Blue, it's either Sacha and/or Paola for sure...

Hoping to get back down there over the President's Day holiday in February, but wish it could be sooner!
