$50 at Monoco

Made it to Club Monoco last night about 11. Expecting the perpeptually occupada Daniela to be busy. Surprise, surprise, she was available. Told her I'd love to have her for an hour but only had 18K left. So we could go 15K for 30 minutes and she'd get the rest as propina...

She said there was a new pricing policy at Monoco. It's now $50 per 30 minute session. Oh? Since when? She said recently. Talked to the dueno and I got the 30 minute shot for 18K for oldtimes sake, but at $50 per, with Tatiana and Reichel gone, with Daniela's phone number and Margaritas at $20 per session, it's probably my last Monoco visit this trip.

Be interested to hear if other's got this same pricing.

When I was there in February the waiter tells the rooms are 25k for the ½ , I tell him forget it a few minutes later he`s back and it`s now 15k so up I go with Vicky. Two nights later I take Vicky upstairs and the guy in the pay booth says 25k, I tell him I only paid 15k tow nights ago so forget it and he says 15k. The bar is ok but really the rooms are pretty bad and no one in their right mind is going to pay $50 for ½ hour. I think if you just tell them to forget it and say your going to leave when you finish your drink they will get back to you with 15k.

My friend did Daniela when I did Vicky so I know her a little as we were buying drinks for them before going to the rooms. She`s a nice girl but I think all the girls will BS you as it`s part of the game. IMHO

Owners from PR and Monaco are two different guys, although they tend to think the same way.

I was at Monaco last week, and they only charged me 15K for half hour and 30K for the whole hour. So, I´m afraid they are gringo-cheap-shooting you guys...the thing about overpricing is that these joints will continue to do it because for 10 gringos that go there only 1 realizes that they are charging way too much. Most guys I´ve seen at PR and specially Monaco get too lost in the girls boobs or ass and will just pay anything in order to bang the girl. But nothing has changed, prices are the same, and so the very stupid ways of charging these people have.

There is no such thing as overpricing in an economy based upon bargaining for a price. Moreover, there exists a program (CRT) that provides a discount. Let the place charge what it wants. When the girl says $50 smile, like I did last night at home, and reply that you do not pay $50 for a good time. Believe you me that the price will drop.

I think they asked the boss. I think if I had been overcharged before they would have been happy to overcharge me again. Yet another update. The Gringo 'discount' is alive and well at Monaco. The same girl I paid $30 for wanted $50 from a friend who was actually sitting with us both the night before and went upstairs with me for $30. I'm afraid that the manager is just a bit of a 'dodgy' guy and if you go there, be prepared to negotiate. If you can't speak Spanish it's not going to be too easy, but you can say "Mi amigo pago solo quince (KEEN-say) Colones. Porque????" You may not understand the answer but it's very possible they will adjust the price. Or not.

was there the other night and took a chica upstairs. i put 30 dollars on counter the girl and and guy in booth said price is now 50 i said fine give me my money back and the tune changed he said ok go ahead. you just have to be firm. hopefully they will eventually get it right as this is a nice place with some real nice talent. and if they dont there is always rojo and arcadas and a dozen others

Was quoted $50 Friday (I have not been there in four months) I refused and said I was not a tourista and I know thr price is $30. The manager came back in 20 seconds and said for me the price was $30. I smiled, got up and left.
