There were a few posts a month or so ago concerning the little "hole in the wall" spas on St. Clair West, and I decided to pay a visit yesterday. Although I live in the extreme boonies at the moment (in a wretched little town that does not bear mentioning), St. Clair was my old part of town where I lived as a student, and where I still keep a tiny apartment. I had lunch at the Khmer Thai, just west of Oakwood, which is an excellent restaurant, and headed east on foot. Usually I go to 794 St. Clair, so I decided to try out 802 for a change. The spa is upstairs, there is a couch in a little waiting area. I believe that there are three studios as well. I didn't need the shower, as I had already showered and changed my clothes in my apartment. I was led to the front room by Maggie, a gerneric name of course. Small girl, Chinese, with beautiful long hair. I opted for 30 minutes massage. Sher asked me if I wanted "hard" and I said "Sure". Well, I sure got what I asked for! Very good hard massage, which may even have minutes, she said "Time's up", so I figured that's O.K. I always like a good massage and don't need anything more. At this point, however, things began to heat up, spontaneously. Maggie asked me "Are you policeman?", at which I began to laugh uncontrollably (I can't imagine anything that I look less like than a cop!). The top came off and the trousers, although the panties stayed on. I gave Maggie another thirty dollars for a tip, and departed. Repeat? Yes, absolutely, the massage alone would bring me back. Concerning St. Clair, it is still, in my opinion, one of Toronto's best neighbourhoods, and I hope this will not change as a result of the streetcar's right of way. I will perhaps check out Bliss spa as well.
