I'll keep this brief to not seem preachy!

I want to do better. Trying to be better today so I can be better tomorrow. As such, I shall no longer partake in hobbying... is there such thing as retirement from hobbying? I don't know. But, I'm doing that.
-> I'll still be on forums to talk and share input where I can, but I wish to take my self-improvement more seriously. The base of it all is to cut out desire and until I can find a healthy balance that includes intimacy without the carnal craving that urges me to mate, I shall abstain from this "hobby".

Rather than a declaration to the forum, this is more-so a declaration to myself; one that keeps me honest to how I wish to be.

I thought about that, but it's not an addiction that I'm desperate to remove. Besides, not everything can simply be removed just because I don't do it anymore. It's been a month since I went vegetarian, quit drinking, and smoking weed, but I still go to steakhouses, swiss-chalet, burger joints with my friends.

Not to dissuade, but you should know what you're up against. Men are hard wired to want to get their dicks into as many different females as they can. Not saying you can't condition yourself, but I also don't see how quitting automatically equals "doing better". What does that even mean? You're a better a person if you don't pay women for sex? Ok whatever.

I do wish you well and it is certainly possible to quit this activity if you want to. Again..if you want to.

The real possibility of being found out by a legally attached S.O. who doesn't share your love of the "hobby", and the realisation that you will lose half of your lifes' work will somehow cause you consider withdrawing from the "hobby".
Otherwise- bring on the women, lots of women.

Good luck. The lock downs really helped me trim down and basically "semi" retire. But, even before the lock downs, I was already hobbying less and the urge to go was going down. In looking back, I had made the first step in rolling back from the addiction. Now, I'm looking forward to my first session in a helluva long time and am just trying to figure out what I want for that first return session. I don't think I'll get addicted again, and I'm certainly gonna keep an eye on myself.

You don't necessarily have to quit cold turkey to leave this hobby. You just need to get yourself to that place where you know what you want, know how to get it, don't look into anything further and make sure you see through all the smoke and mirrors and see past the illusions.

That's sorta been my story too. Biology, not willpower dictated the pace of my hobbying. If I'd had the available funds when I was younger, I'd have spent my time doing little else.

Therapy, groups, addiction....who knows....be truthful to yourself....men are wired differently and unless your significant other is ddg, smart, sexual and intimate....go your own way and enjoy life!!!

I weaned myself off and stayed away for three years. It was difficult. I decided that I was ready to come and venture out here and there. I’m back where I started.

Thank you for writing this post. It has actually made me self reflect and realize once again I need to take a step back.

Good luck. I wish you the best. I probably won’t be on here much anymore, this place makes me curious about different attendants and I feel like it is easier for me to throttle my visits if I am not browsing here.

I'm the reverse. This place has helped me stay away because it takes away the mystery. I no longer wonder "hmm which girls are FS?". I think the mystery and the "wanting to know" contributed more to my addiction than the actual sessions.

And now, this place is helping me decide what to do with my first session back. I'm pretty sure I don't want the premium spas. I think I just want to get in, get off and get out. It's a physical itch after all.

Truth for sure, especially the "sexual and intimate" part. Having a DDG SO that isn't putting out, regularly with passion, is not much of a fidelity enhancer. Sort of like having a Ferrari that won't start.

I'm trying to change that hard wiring. Doing better for me didn't mean anything about anyone else here. Mind over matter - I have a high libido but what if I could change that where I didn't. I know a lot of guys would love to have it but it's always been a curse for me.
