Hi everyone, first time poster, long time lurker/reader. I hope to get some input from all of you.
I am looking to buy an electric lift table. My dream table would be a Custom Craft http://www.comfortcraft.com/m800.html, but my budget will not allow it now or probably several more years.
So surfing around the web today I came across this http://www.bestmassage.com/electric-message-tables/chiropractic-powerlift.html.
I really like the idea that you can put the client into flexion to work the posterior side, similar to the Custom Craft. But the table is not one I have heard of and I cannot find any reviews. The table is only 27" wide, which is great for me as I will not have to reach as far, but it might be uncomfortable for larger clients. The base looks small and I am concerned with balance and the table tipping if one of my heavier clients sits too close to the edge. I called the retailer and he said that the base is not as small and narrow as it appears in the picture and that they have never had any complaints about tipping....
I have a Body Cushion that I use for most of my clients and they love it and so do I. It takes the pressure off the lower back in the prone position and is great for psoas, ab work, upper back work and stretches. The problem is that many of my clients are elderly with low back and mobility problems and they cannot lift themselves up to slide the Cushion down for prone work. They must get up off the table, then lie back down. They do not complain, but it is a pain, especially if I have to turn them more than once.
So what is your advice? Has anyone ever seen or used this table? Should I try it or would I be better off getting either an Earthlite, GR, or Oakworks flat top lift? I can return it and get my money back minus shipping fees, but the shipping is expensive! I would really appreciate your thoughts!
