Just a few "odd bod" pics I took last week on my ride.
I travelled Reviewom Barretto, to Iba (1 night) then Bauang (1 night), Baguio (2 nights) next, then AC (3 nights) before returning to Subic.

A few that'd fall into the "FAIL" category.

I was conReviewonted head on, on this stretch of road by a Victory Liner bus...WTF??

The little Raider 150R got the job done, but will be getting a new Kwaka ER6F in a few weeks time.

Yet another....WTF?

Only in The Philippines...

Cheers Bernie....I find when I'm "one out" on the bike, I can take many pics.
Of course it's great riding with mates, but you just can't pull over when ya feel like it & start snapping.

Did I send you the link of the PI ride out to the bay they used in Apocalypse now for the surf / 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning' shots ?? Baler bay I think. Set to the music Reviewom AN and makes it real moody in the mist kinda vibe.

The roads (where I've been so far) here, aren't as good as the Thai roads I've travelled.
Much less speed here............You're mainly riding through provinces & not highways.

The scenery is on par with LOS.
There is more notable poverty here, than what I've seen elsewhere.

Just a C & P I took Reviewom a thread on GT rider, which sums things up here......

I would emphasize that due to the nature of Philippine roads, which are usually restricted to one lane in each direction, distances travelled in a day’s riding are usually much less than one would expect to cover in Thailand in a similar timeReviewame. Hazards come thick and fast, in the shape of jeepneys driving erratically, motorcycle tricycles pulling u-turns on you, suicidal dogs and farmers drying their rice crops on the road itself all encourage a very defensive riding style!

When I use Chrome it is not possible to see the pictures in this thread, is there someone else who have this problem?

No problem with Firefox.

2 models are top of the field.. The GoPro HD and the countour HD.. Both have pluses and minus'es.. The GoPro is a bit of a brick but has LOADS of great mounting attachments.. The contour a bit slicker for helmet and is a nice bullet design but less easy to stick on in other ways and less weather / water proof.

Sams matey with the Bali GoPro importer and thinks he might be coming back with a couple in a few weeks. I sorta prefer the Contour but the GoPro can be surfboard mounted and he wants that feature.

Agree the roads are worse in the Philippines. Must say I did the Baguio-Bontoc-Banave-Baguio trip by car (a few days) and found nature high above Thai scenery.
