Tui Na Health Centre. From an ad in Now Magazine, it is located in a small office building at 1560 Bayview Avenue (a little south of Eglinton), suite 203. The phone number is 416-486-6828. The premises are somewhat run-down, with a common, even more run-down, washroom. The individual rooms, however, are clean and cozy. Although she has moved on to a new location downtown, I have had a massage from Sabrina, the owner I believe. She is probably in her late thirties/early forties. The massages here, in general, are excellent - lots of energy, enthusiasm and good technique. Hands, thighs and feet (with overhead bars) are all used. Sabrina's English is good, but I have found her on occasion to be taciturn and even a bit grumpy. The prices are fairly standard ($40, 60 and 80), and as I believe has been suggested on this board before, take the full hour, or at least 45 minutes. Paid-for parking is available on the Bayview, but there is usually plenty available on the side streets for free. Aromatherapy is also available here. A bit of a bonus here recently - I believe they have a lady who answers the phones, so no interruptions.
Ichiban. From an ad in Now Magazine, it is located at 1252 Bloor Street West, near Bloor and Dufferin. The phone number is 416-516-8821. The premises are in good order, and the rooms are clean with individual showers. The prices are $35/50/70. I have only seen Vivian (who has since left), a mid-thirties, soft-spoken lady who speaks English well and gives an average massage - nothing special really. Parking can be a bit of a problem, especially during the rush hours.
Supreme Health. From and ad in a local paper, it is located on the second level of an office building at 4515 Chesswood Drive, Suite T. The closest intersection is Finch Avenue West and Dufferin, and the phone number is 416-638-4710. This place is, in my opinion, a little gem. I have had a massage from Lily, who I believe is the owner/manager, and Ann, a pleasant and slim Chinese lady who works part-time. Lily is a very pleasant, mid-thirties Japanese lady who gives a superb massage, and Ann's massage is even better. The prices are quite reasonable at $40/55/70. The premises is clean and bright and there is nice background music playing. There is another lady working there (a bit on the portly side for my own taste), and I haven't had a massage from her. There were occasional interruptions during my sessions to answer the phone. The only other drawback here is a common washroom, although it is clean and well-equipped with clean new towels. There is plenty of parking.
Chang's Holistic Health Centre. From the banner ad on massageplanet.net, it is located at 1315 Lawrence Avenue East, Suite 523. The closest intersection is Lawrence Avenue East and The Don Valley Parkway, and the phone number is 416-386-2285. I have known Shirley since she was located at Yonge and Steeles, and there isn't a lot that I say about Shirley that has not already been said - lovely lady, lovely personality, excellent massage, good English, clean and bright premises, clean (although common) washroom, scented oils and lots of parking. That aside, there are just a few minor negatives, in my opinion: The prices here are a little higher than normal, at $55 for 35 minutes and $85 for the full hour. She closes a little early and is closed entirely on weekends, and, unfortunately, there are frequent interruptions during the sessions, mainly to answer the phone.
