A & P recognition

Hi,
I was wondering if any other reflexologists whose A & P qualification was incorporated into their reflexology course had any problems getting their A & P recognised as it is not a separate ITEC qualification. I was looking into a thai yoga massage course that required A & P, and wasn't sure they would accept mine.

Can you sit the ITEC exam separately with out doing the entire course somewhere?
I'd be grateful for any advice.

It will depend on which exam board you trained with and which qualifications you are going for, some will be recognised, others will not. I am not sure about ITEC accreditation, you are probably best to contact them with regards to certificates of prior learning and bridging courses and that kind of thing. I think they normally make you take a separate A&P unless you've been practisinga very long time and can demonstrate substantial knowledge. I am fairly sure they'd get you to take A&P regardless these days as legislation gets tighter.

I contacted ITEC ages ago because I was interested in doing one of their course (wish I could remember which one mind you). I was told at that time that the A&P I had from doing my AoR training was good enough in their eyes. It wasn't really recently so things may have changed. I suggest you give them a ring or email them to check.

Mine is an Aor accredited course. I was looking at thai yoga massage, that is accredtied with IGPP so it would be down to them I suppose.. Maybe I should bite the bullit and do it again, maybe by correspondence and then sit the exam in London somewhere.
