There are several fluroscent signs that appear in second floor windows that say OPEN on the stretch of Eglinton between the Allen and Avenue Road. I took a stroll down there and popped into a few of these establishments. I was seeking massage nirvana:
1) an attractive woman
2) a pleasant manner
3) good mileage (bodyslide qualifies here)
4) fair pricing
5) an above average massage.
First stop was 999 Eglinton W. The girl that greeted me failed on the first test - she was not attractive. I was not applying high standards here - but anyone who was 20+ pounds overweight failed the test. She seemed to have a pleasant demeanor and she was somewhat sexy in her summer dress. But still ...
The next place was across the street and east a few blocks. It was Lily's Day spa. The woman who greeted me was all business and no smiles. She looked kind of haggard and was not attractive. Failed test 1 and 2 - she was out.
The next place was a few doors east of Lily's. I was greeted by an Eastern European woman with a sexy accent. But she was MUCH too large for my tastes. So I left.
Next stop was Joyful. I was greeted by Maggie. She was attractive and pleasant. Time to lay down and see if she passed the other tests. The massage was good - above average. But no extras were available. The finish was good and the price was fair ($40 + $20 tip). So Maggie gets a qualified approval rating.
I noticed a place across the street at 525 Eglinton. I went upstairs to check it out for future reference. I was greeted by an attractive woman and thought - "I'll be coming back here" But I wasn't ready for another SOG after Maggie so I decided to exit by saying I had to go to the bank machine. At this point the attractive, young lady lost my future business. She became very hostile. She said, "I don't like you. Don't come back here. You just want to look at the girls." And she gave me a shove as I walked down the stairs. So she meets the attractive test but failed the pleasant demeanor test miserably.
So I didn't find nirvana but it still was a pleasant stroll on a sunny afternoon.
