Hello
Yes I know there are better courses out there than the ITEC one but for financial reasons this will have to be my first step into sports massage.
Can someone recomend which books would be best for the course? I already have Chris Jarmey's muscleencyclopedia , had that since doing the holistic. Amazon have quite a few on sports massage. I've already got tonnes of anatomy books.
I'm plan to start to advertising for case studies.
I thought the following would be good ,1bodybuilder,2 Footballer,3 Equestrianist,4 Basketball player,5 Rackets sport player
A runner if I couldn't one of the above, possibly a rubgy player. All depends on what sort of response I get.
I also had the idea of contacting various sports clubs offering my services for free as a learning experience as the massage skills I have now would be usefull to many people .
I've got my holistic diploma and I've done two advanced massage courses. Obviously Iwouldn't be doing things that I'm unsure of and I would explain that I'am a student which means I have to be cautious when it came to certain conditions or injurys.
I am insured as a massage therapist and a memberof the FHT.
