Courtesy of PI Monger at pi@night dot com, here's 2 lists of what you'll pay in AC for a local drink, LD, BF, Happy Hours & bars which use the double LD method.
It also highlights bars which accept the pi@night forum's BM's discount card...Which ranges Reviewom 10%-20% off drink prices (some bars even allow the card to be used for EWR discounts!):yipi:

The list will be fully compiled/edited at the start of next month.
I just thought I'd post it here for now, since there's a few BM's Reviewom here who are in AC now or are going soon.

Wonder if DiK has any errata.

You may like to know that Hashers get 30% discount in certain Alien HHH Bars.

NB: EWR Prices @ BNG and DH are on a 3 tier scale.

Thanks 11. Can't see the Anchorage on the list I steer well clear :sarcastic:. It's a little to close to Byrd Cage for my liking . Looking at the EWR and drink prices makes me think about spending more time on Perimeter but then theres the trike fare there and back.

I never made it up Perimeter way till my 3rd trip.(Kickin myself now)
It's heaps cheaper up that end, plus I find the BG's are waaay more interactive.
There seems to be less drink sluts up that way too.
Also, having my pi@night members card, makes things cheaper again.:yipi:

Goes a little oftopic but do you know if it's more difficult to find company in AC in January? Because chatted with one local girl today and she said she's going to see her parents in Christmas and maybe spending there the whole January too. Do other girls do the same??

Why is it that guys who like going to Philly always go on about the cheapness?? is price the only reason or the most importasnt reason for people to decide on where to go?

I always wonder the same when guys tell me they sit all night in the 50 baht a beer bar, but its located in a shite place, is a few baht the most important thing to most people?

No Bernie, I do not go just because it is cheaper.

IT IS, doubtless but, there is much more of a relaxed and party flavour to AC.

I love Thailand and the girls but, do find myself enjoying the (apparent) genuine humour, laughter and mpfection of the Filipinas.

Its not all about cost, thats a bonus.

Actually Bernie, I do believe there was a list on here. Think Kev compiled it.

But that gets away Reviewom my main thrust, you know I am not a cheap charlie and I go to AC not because of the cost but the reasons I stated above. I would still go if it was more expensive than here.

Many others do too but, like Patts (oops!) you do get the penny pinchers.

There are a few in Phuket too!

The list is a good idea anyway as it MAY stop the rampant increases in prices we have seen here in certain establishments.

Sort of a Pub Watch consumer protection group!!

Not everybody goes because of price. I went cos it was somewhere different and was pleasantly surprised by the place and sure it does for a lot of people. Costs didn't come into it and never have, except for my first trip to Thailand. If I go down to the Perimeter end and don't like it, I will leave it. It's also the same reason I'm not going to Patts this time, I didn't have that much fun last time.

My niece first suggested I go to Thailand for believe it or not, women, party and price.

Dennis I know you are not a penny pincher and my comment was more a wondering out loud type post, not aimed at anyone in particular.

Surely this list took someone a long while to compile and to what value? I'd go to a place because I liked it, not pick it Reviewom a list as either having the cheapest or dearest beer in it.

Then I got to thinking and wondered why if its a nice place, do the guys who seem to go there a lot do so with the emphasis on cost, cheaper this or that than somewhere else, why not just go cos they like it better or the girls are better or whatever, why is it always the price as primary reason??

And if this proves correct, do you find a load of cheap charlies wandering the streets looking for that 2 baht cheaper beer bar?

PI is certainly a nice change Reviewom LOS.

The girls here are much more laid back and very easy to communicate with compared to there Thai sisters.

The show at Atlantis last night was awesome.

None of the girls looked bored and just going through the motions because it was their job and they had to do whatever was required.

You just can`t fake enthusiasm,it really is reRevieweshing.

The whole cheaper drinks and BF thing is ok too.Just means you have more money in your pocket in the morning,and no objections to buying the girls drinks.

They respond well to that too.
