accupressure / massage to induce labour?

anyone tried this??
i want to go to get a massage tonight and see whether there are some pressure points which they can hit to trigger the start of labour...
i know there are some around the ankles / feet and also inbetween some of your fingers..
at least if it doesn't work... ill end up with a nice massage hehe..
anyone tried this???

Inducing labor is not within the scope of practice for a massage therapist. They can get into lots of trouble with the national board and/or the state by doing so, and possibly lose their license. Please do not put a massage therapist into that situation; the decision to induce labor is for a midwife or obstetrician to make.

However, that being said, getting a massage would still be a good thing for you, as it would be relaxing and also provide some pain relief, fluid reduction, etc. Frequent massages are recommended throughout the second and third trimesters. If you are experiencing any complications at all - pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, unexplained cramping or bleeding, etc. - please obtain your doctor or midwife's written consent for you to get the massage.
