acupressure help please :(

Hi there all

I am not sure wither I have put this on the right one as I could not see a forum catagory for acupressure at all. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions I am struggling to answer......The lesson I have I feel is not very informative and I am struggling to find what is the best and most packed with information book to get.....

The questions are relating to scalp acupressure

One is can I explain why poeple often suffer a headache when they have a urinary track infection? I know that its the urinary zone in the scalp but dont know how to explain this as info is not there.

The other is why should you use different techniques for stimulating the sensory and the skeletal treatment areas?

Which scalp meridians are the most usually treated in scalp acupressure? would the answer to this be The head is the convergence place of all yang meridians or would it be best to find out and list individual meridians?

Please help someone I am at a loss here and was doing so well

What course are you doing?

The urinary thing could be to do with a build up of toxins which cause headaches.

You have to use different techniques on the skeletal area as it could be painful otherwise and may cause bruising. It all depend on the underlying tissue.

for the meridians - Kidney, and Gall bladder. Acupressure - Governor vessel 20, Gall bladder 8. Although I use quite a few more dependant on nature of headaches and sinuses etc.

But I would check these answers first as they may not be what is required.

Good acupressure books are Acupressure by Jacqueline Young and Acupressure- Potent Points by Michael Reed Gach. I use acupressure with reflexology and IHM a lot, with very good results.

Thanks for that Jan, the lesson itself was very limited with information which does not help at all its like stabbing in the dark for answers. Would not be so bad if there was some small snippet to go on but not so lucky, either that or I am missing it somehow........ Thanks for the books as well much appreciated for you help Jan.

which course is it.... so we can avoid it! no, really, which one, school? is it BSY or SNHS, Stonebridge?

Its one of the SNHS courses for acupressure but in all honesty it could be me, its the self study one and i cant seem to get to grips with this particular lesson

I have done other courses with them and been successful but cant seem to find any hint to the answers in this lesson or the others, but as said it could be me, dont want to dog the actual course as i dare say others may have done okay.

Hi there i know you posted this ages ago! but i am having the same problems with this same lesson as you did, did you find the answers as i have been struggling for days to get this assignment done and cannot find any of the information i need!
