So yes, it is rare, and hopefully it stays that way. Most of us are inoculated against smallpox and it appears to reduce the infection rate and even if infected, it greatly reduces the severity of the disease.

Condoms to prevent COVID just isn't a thing. Being up close and personal with a stranger in a small, closed room is guaranteed to spread it though, if one of the two has it. I'm glad we seem to be pretty much past that shit.... for now anyway.
