Advice on reflexology courses in London.

Hello all,

I've been considering training in reflexology for a while, and it's about time for me to bite the bullet and sign up to a course. Basically, I'm after your advice, pleaseandthankyou.

Firstly, I thought it would make sense to do a course that was accredited by the AOR - does that make sense to you guys? Keen to hear your views.

Also, of the AOR accredited courses in London, I've been looking at the London School of Reflexology course, held at Regents College. Anyone have any direct/indirect experience of that course, or know of other courses that you could recommend?

It seems that there are reflex courses left, right and centre, so looking for any suggestions or tips you could throw my way.

Hi Polly H,

I have just started an AoR accredited course in London. You have definitely done the right thing in my opinion by chosing an AoR accredited course. It appears that soon, only students that are members of one of the associations under the Reflexology Forum (the AoR is the largest of these associations) will be able to do reflexology as a profession. This is not definite, but even if this isn’t the case, any AoR courses are definitely superior.
It’s a nightmare trying to figure out what is best isn’t it? There is a long and drawnout thread on the argument between one day and accredited courses in the Student / Training Forum, dated from the 7th Sept. Check it out!
I chose the Central London College of Reflexology in Covent Garden, but it was a close call between this and the Regents College course. Both looked fantastic and very similar, I chose the CLCR as the course started earlier! The CLCR is great, with lovely, knowledgable tutors and the college is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for students to come in and practice or chat to other students/tutors.
