hello again! i have a question regarding hydrocollator packs. i keep mine in a kitchen skillet, lined with Teflon; the same one i use for my hot stones. recently i have noticed that when the pack is not in the skillet, the skillet develops 'fuzzy' buildups throughout the water and along the base + walls. i clean it pretty consistently because it doesn't seem sanitary, but i'm still very curious as to what these are caused by and if they are harmful to the skillet, the pack, neither or both..
if you have any advice, please let me know!

I have never kept a hydroc pack in a skillet (only in the hydroc pack units), so I don't have a good answer for you. Maybe someone else will. :)

Before I bought my hydrocollator unit, I was keeping mine in the hot stone roaster. I not only had problems with stuff growing in there but the roaster got too hot and burned the side of the hot pack and ruined it.

It might be ok for temporary use, but I wouldn't do it long-term.
