How soon after a women has had a baby can she have a reflexology treatment? and would you need the consent of the midwife or docter?
any help would be great.

I got my friend to work on my feet throughout the labour, and then again when she came back for visiting hour! Not sure 'consent' is relevant - childbirth is not an illness.

1 - As soon as she wants you to

2 - Can't imagine any reason, provided there were no underlying complications requiring joint consultation between obstetrics and another department (oncology, haematology etc). And even then it's more of a courtesy to let them know that she's having reflexology. If you were to ask any midwife, they'd most likely throw the woman at you!

As a midwife and a reflexologist I would def say if the woman feels she will gain from it then it is the right time to treat. I will often give women advice about reflex points during postnatal visits to help with breatfeeding etc without giving them a treatment as such (becuase i am employed as a midwife by day and reflexologst in my own time but most of my women know that!)
