AIM Video Chat-No Sound?!?

I just bought a web cam for my home computer. I have a laptop with a built in webcam. My home computer's webcam works fine (sound is good) when used with the included program.

However, when I use the webcams to video chat over aim, I cannot hear anything. There is no sound being transmitted to my laptop or from my laptop to my home computer.

What do I need to do?

I noticed that under settings, you have the option to change the video chat sound settings. Do I need to do that?

I really appreciate any suggestions you have, but please note, I am sure that neither of my computers are "muted".
