Allergy Reminder

Hi Gang  After reading a great recipe thread on another part of this site, I thought it important to remind folks that allergies don't always fall into the "dust, dander, pollen, penicillin" categories we're accustomed to seeing.  Clients can actually be allergic to some of the very products we use on a daily basis.  For example, I have one client who is allergic to lavender and another client who is allergic to aloe.  Just a heads up for the next time one of your clients fills out the allergy section of your intake form!Peace,JD

Great reminder. I also have a client who's allergic to lavender, another who is allergic to both coconut and jojoba, and even one who is allergic to cotton!  (luckily I had one set of all poly sheets)Allergy information is VITAL to put on an intake form. Another reminder on general allergies: Air conditioning and air filtration units have screens that need to be cleaned regularly, especially after damp winter months. If you find yourself  (or your clients) starting to have sneezing fits, check your screens! (Yes, you have the right to ask your landlord to perform this service for you... it's an OSHA requirement.)
