AMPs in NOLA

Relocating back to NOLA. From reading the posts here, I gather the best AMP are on or near Chef? I'd rather not go all way out there...but if those are the best ones.../shrug.

Are there ANY good quality ones downtown?

Fat city is gone soo...none in JP? (I did read Happy Foot review and it seems fine the way it is for what it is).

Now; the ones that are good (the reviews here are scant) are they Houston good? Are the staff pretty?

Which ones are Korean? Vietnamese? Thai?

My favorite one downtown is bamboo spa,, a lil more pricey that the ones on the chef but not as much as bangkok. pretty girls, showers, good attitude

Ah good. I did see that one; and saw its on an OK stretch of Gravier St. I also saw that the former Aloha spa @ 200 Decatur is now a second Lily Pad? Never been to either but this is all web info gathering thus far. I was hoping Bamboo would be promising as it would be convenient. I have not been on Chef since the Original Candy Club; and that other place in the area called "The Web". Thank you

Man, you must go back a long ways. I don't even remember the Candy Club or The Web on the Chef. I remember when they had the amps in Fat City and frequented them routinely. Today, we have a lot of Viet and Thai that have gotten into the business and they have over shadowed the korean spas which I think there are very few. Happy hunting.

;-)...I started early. Candy and Web were on/in Downman Rd area, Downman Rd being that left off of Chef after you cross the canal, or take the exit off the freeway.

Pretty sure the Web was in that area...I remember it being near an Appliance store on Downman. I remember a thin neutral ground and pulling a U as I'd always pass the damn place (small). Also cutting a U for the Candy as it was on the left side. Web was on right going north.

I was slow to catch on to the AMPs in Fat City. Further foray's there at the time being cast in doubt by the Ship's Wheel. Very disappointing the one
visit. Rarely ever went back to area and never for any fantasy or imaginary stuff. Knowing what was where was rough 10+ years ago. Now; even just hitting google its convenient to determine what is where nowadays for fantasy musings.

Lilly Pad: Vietnamese
Sakura: seems to be a mixture of girls that I have seen with 2 of the girls being Korean and the others a mixture of Thai and Vietnamese.
Tokyo Modeling: from the couple times that I have been there it seems to be predominately Thai.
As far as the amp's downtown I reapply couldn't say as I have only been to a couple of them once.

The Candy Club became Visions.

The original Candy Club was on Chef. It became Onyx, a black club. Both clubs were lights out terrific, like wild west saloons. Real gut bucket but safe and cool. Anything and everything was available. Then came the Federal Levee failure. CCs morphed in Vision's on Downman. It's much more corporate than the original, but still in the top 5 clubs in town.

Agreed. I went there with some high school buddies during our reunion weekend in 2003 and had been there once or twice before then as well.

New here from Denver. Why the concern over Thai/Vietnamase/Korea girls?

It depends on what you like and enjoy in asian women. The more experience I get with this hobby the more I find that I enjoy Koreans the most. Its just a personal preference and I'm sure everyone one has theirs and for others it doesn't matter. It seems that there are more Vietnamise and Thai places in N.O. then Korean. I don't know of any Chinese or Japanise spas in the area. I think Houston has many Korean spas. Houston has a large population of Koreans where as N.O. has a very small community of maybe 2500 Koreans. We also have a large population of Vietnamise in N.O. East.
Always remember though that they are ALL after one thing and that is whats in your wallet.

Right. I compressed too much into too little space. I think CC actually moved to Downman as CC before changing to Visions. I may be wrong about that. Katrina wiped out Onyx. It completely destroyed the strip mall it occupied. Although I wonder if Passion's or whatever it's called across from Vision's is essentially the same club reborn.

Anyone been to that place across from Visions? It's pretty ghetto-looking from the street, so I'd have to be pretty brave, even vvith a change of skin color.

bokitty, i have never been in there myself, but a very reliable source told me that place was real cool. got everything he expected. told me the girl who "danced" for him was really hot. he just went in by himself, no problems. Oh yea he was white too.
