Animal Communication

I am reading Learning Their Language: Intuitive Communication with Animals and Nature by Marta Williams. What a neat book! Marta has her degrees in biology & resource conservation, as well as working in wildlife rehab, habitat restoration, and environmental regulation...she also offers workshops. I'll be checking into those next. For her website, click here.

Just wondering if anyone has tried to intuitively communicate with their own animals - at all, or after taking a workshop or reading a book. Were you successful? And, has anyone ever employed the services of a professional animal communicator?

I have a very verbal cat. We communicate well together. I have never had any special training, just after 10 years we have learned what each other "says".

I find it to be similar to knowing the differences between cry's from a baby.

Here is a pic of my big boy (3.5 ft stretched out!). He has been on a RX diet cat food for 3 years. He is happy just the way he is!

My sis-in-law's nickname for him is "puppy". He does growl at the UPS guy and fireworks. He also will fetch Q-tips - he is a little confused. :wink:

I think he is part Maine Coon and that is when he is so big and has the traits he does.

Masthera he is sooo awesome...such a handsome and happy, healthy-looking boy! I'd say you two are communicating quite well t045 . I love his coloring. Once I get a feel for the concepts in Marta's book, I'd love to ask him what his name is (since you haven't said it, I would have no clue). If you want, I'll pm you with it...I won't be ready for that for a while though. I could even try asking what his favorite treat or toy is, lol...or, why he fetches Q-tips! :
