ok sound i read the other day that Britain is trying to bring back the wolf, brown bear, beaver, lynx and some types of birds which onces roamed Britain until they was hunted for fur and entertainment and killed off.
i know that they have introduced the beaver and they have a small population in the Scottish highlands, but when are they going to bring back the bear, wolf and lynx ? (if they decide to), not to sure what they have done with the birds..
does anyone have any recent info on this..
i think it would be a great idea to bring back our native animals, we killed those creatures off so it's only right if we bring them back..
lol, i don't know how to answer that... but i don't think they were killed off by humans, like these animals were, most of these animals went extinct in Britain within the last 1000 years
there is still large areas in Scotland which could keeps these animals, and they could survive and reproduce and benefit the ecosystem, but it has it's downside as you mentioned, the Scottish highlands is where they are thinking of re-introducing these animals, and they believe it is plenty big enough, but there is always going to be an argument about this so who knows what will happen..
