Just want to preface this post with I’ve never had a negative or below average experience here previously.
I recently do a walk-in at GE, as I was unexpectedly in the south side, so a no brainer since it’s been a while. I typically make appointments, and book Lara as I’ve found her massages to be exceptional, but have seen a couple of the other ladies over the years on the occasional walk-in.
On this day, I was greeted by May, and fortunately she was available. I’d seen her just once before, pre-covid I believe, and recall it was an above average session…so I was looking forward to getting on the table. She starts the massage, asks what kind of pressure I’d like, and we commiserate over the hot weather. Around 5 minutes in she excuses herself and leaves the room. After a couple minutes a new therapist comes in and asks what kind of pressure/massage I’d like. I was totally shocked and dismayed (pun not intended) as nothing like that has ever happened to me there before. The only annoying thing is on occasion when they’re all busy, and the therapist has to leave the room to answer a walk-in (but I understand that, no biggie).
While the new therapist did her best to give me a good massage, I wasn’t able to enjoy it as I was thrown off by the switch. An odd incident considering their impeccable reputation, but will mark this as just a one off for now.
