Anonymous Tip Leads to Prostitution Bust at Temecula Massage Parlor
November 29, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Sheriff’s Southwest Station received an anonymous tip alleging
that prostitution was occurring at a massage parlor located in the 27400 block of Jefferson Avenue. On November 27, 2024, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest CORE Team and Metro Team, along with investigators from the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, served a search warrant at the massage parlor.
As a result, two suspects, Li Guan, a 40-year-old resident of Monrovia, and Xao Tao, a 47-year-old resident of San Gabriel, were arrested for solicitation of prostitution and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. Deputies identified one victim who was offered resources and spoke with victim advocate case managers.
Human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation remain significant concerns in our community. These crimes often involve manipulation, coercion, and exploitation, leading victims to engage in illegal activities against their will. The Riverside Sheriff’s Office remains committed to identifying and dismantling trafficking networks to ensure that victims are rescued and perpetrators are held accountable.
Human trafficking is not a "victimless" crime. Research shows that a majority of trafficking victims are women or children, many of whom have histories of abuse or trauma. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimates that 1 in 6 endangered runaways are likely victims of sex trafficking, facing severe emotional and physical abuse.
The Riverside Sheriff’s Office urges community members to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity. To report criminal activity, contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099 or call 911 for an emergency. Additionally, information can be reported through the WE-Tip Crime Reporting Hotline at 909-987-5005.
Citizens may also submit an anonymous tip using the Sheriff’s Crime Tips online form.
