You're absolutely right about the fact that most Chinese men will literally piss in the suana/spa instead of going to the urenal and i don't believe the water in the spa is treated with chlorine and that's why i don't stay in the suana that long. Most Chinese men smell like rotten tofu and they have this really aweful rancid odor coming out of their body or somewhere and it's fuckin' unbearable.

Next time when you're relaxing by yourself in the spa and some Chinese guy comes to join you in the spa and he's holding a wet towel....be careful he's gonna use that small towel to wipe his genitals and whatever blowhole or skunky skins, or dirt he got on his body and do it in the spa and that's very disgusting...get the hell out of there!!! There's alot of dirty stuff in the spa/suana water and they don't change the water often...this is China...they love cheap stuff and doing everything cheap to save money...even reusing dirty water So you're right about using your own hotel shower water.

glossing over the fact you missed the first 2 very important words of my post, I prefer the water from my own hotel shower than that of a suspect common spa/sauna that may have had some drunk decrepit laowai go wee-wee in 30 minutes earlier

some people describe it as sewer smell, rotten smell, burnt smell.

the tofu themselves dont have a very strong smell when they are being served, but when they are being fried, they give off a distintive smell.

when you get a chance, try it.

just ask for 臭豆腐. they are very affordable, you can usually find them pretty much everywhere. cost probably less then 30rmb.

Hey Rivers - are you currently in Shanghai right now? You mentioned Jieyuan - The bathouse ....is this place located on Nanjing Road? I can speak basic Mandarin but i can't read and write Chinese. You also mentioned ordering overnight service to my hotel from Hanghua village....is this also a massage parlor? Where's it located? I'll be in Shanghai on business soon and having a girl for overnight sex until the next morning is normal for me but if you have connection to a better mamasan/papasan that would be great. please pm me the info. thanks

If you want to do that then i would recommend you getting a SW or calling ST service and speak with the mamasan/papasan at these places. The sauna/shower/steam room/towl down is what you're paying for so why not take advaneforum.xxxe of it? I also think there's the issue of hygiene and cleaniness and most of the girl would not let you shagg them if you smell like "stinky tofu"

my favorite:
1. SYQ(舒怡泉) -- in last year, because they have SM service. but I am not sure right now. I heard something changed

2. Jieyuan -- in terms of soupland, they offer best service I think. and best sefety level. they were bursted several times by LE, but still keep open. I believe they have strong backgroud in shanghai.

3. Yuping and wave -- everyone know it. they are belong the same owner.

4. tangtian -- someone name it shanghai SN because it is inside of shanghai hotel. very good service.

I usually go these place once a week, (sometime two weeks). My additional place is some local bathhouse. in those place I also got the same service but only cost 200RMB. (facility is not good as SN of cause). or you can order some overnight service to a hotel only cost me 300RMB. (order from Hanghua village). But these additional service may me differ if you are a foreigner, I fell sorry for this.
