Any idea of what the scene is this weekend due to the elections?

The last time the alcohol sales were shut down in Tijuana it was the 2003 election. No Alcohol sales from midnight on Friday until Midnight on Sunday.
Bars tried to stay open and offer soda, water, and juice, but many of them gave up. Bar girls would stand outside of their bars trying to catch a date, etc.

The law was changed to allow the sales on election weekend in cities that were labeled "tourist destinations" Tijuana escapes under that law.

I believe some parts of the Country still have to suspend sales for 48 hours buy maybe our buddy Amigomio would be the best to respond.

Saturdays are usually popping all day long after about 2 in the afternoon. In the past, there was no alcohol sold during an election in Mexico. I think that is no longer enforced anymore but I am not sure. Hey, Burt, you plugged in?

The election will not effect the business. Alcohol can be served from 10am to 3am.

thinking of hitting AB and HK tomorrow and wondering if the bars are open tomorrow due to the election on the 4th? And wondering what time in the afternoon the action starts heating up on Saturdays?
