Anyone used Feng Shui in their office/waiting area?

Please direct me to the right spot if I have missed this topic ! I am opening a new office in 2 weeks and would like to use the art of Feng Shui, if anyone has any tips or good guidelines, all information would be helpful. I bought a book and then found that as indepth as it goes there are probable special rules that would apply directly to massage therapy and I did not find a book on that, I am finding bits and pieces online as well, but am missing a good guide so I can do it right the first time!! Aby help would be greatly appreciated, the info I have found says the head of the massage table should face east and that a bowl of rocks under the center of the massage table will help ground both you and the client.

oh, interesting on the rocks under the table, I hadn't heard that one yet.
I do have my table facing East, not necessarily to be feng shui, but it just feels right there, lol : I've actually designed my whole space around the fact that my table needs to face East, lol.
one thing that I read somewhere that I have done - I have a red cloth with a mirror on it sitting under my business phone (to keep my phone ringing!). I also have a large running fountain in my wealth corner. I haven't done a lot of research on all the details, I don't really know what I'm doing... but I've had friends who are more knowledgeable tell me I definately needed my fountain RIGHT THERE, so that's where I put it

Very helpful fountain tip, I will definately use that one, since I do have a fountain and was unsure where to place it. The mirror under your phone, is that layered? The red fabric flat, as per on a desk, then the mirror flat on the fabric facing the ceiling? and the phone on top?

I know that when you feng shui your house you work from the center and encompass the entire house on the map, should I treat my waiting area and treatment room as 1 space or 2 different spaces, I didn't know if it being a business matters, since each space has it's own specific entrance which would change the map?

I have found any book by Lillian Too very useful. The one I have right now is "total feng shui". It has many practical applications that are easy to grasp, as well explanations of the deeper aspects, which are taking me longer to absorb. I'm doing some renovating in the next couple of months, so I'm excited about incorporating more of the principles in my new space, as well as the rest of my home and life. Just saw the thread. YES, yes and yes - I have used Feng Shui very successfully! I did most of it myself then I had a professional to go over my shop and tweak it.
Good book: Move your stuff, change your life by Karen Rauch Carter. The best one I've read, very simply written and practical. She also does online consultations.
My favorite tool: cornucopia (aka the horn of plenty). They sell a lot of them this time of year. I cured a dry spell in my business. I didn't realize I had a dry fountain in my Career gua. I removed the fountain, bought a cornucopia and filled it with pumpkins, gourds etc. and and placed it in the same spot. The phone started ringing literally 2 hours later. It symbolizes abundance and can be applied to different guas (you can use coins, for example, for your Prosperity gua).

I don't really have my office Feng Shui'd, but I did have a friend who is an acupuncturist visit the office with a friend of her's visiting from China.

I had a fish tank on one side of the room and he immediately told me it needed to be moved to another area.

He was pretty serious about it.

It was a hassle to move, but I moved it and the change was definitely noticed.

Strange but true.

I recently moved my practice to a new space and incorporated a lot of ideas from The Power of Vastu Living. It is basically Ayurveda's version of Feng Shui. It made more sense to me and since I have a good grasp of my personal doshic imbalances/tendencies decorating around this concept has worked very well for me. I've also used it at home and simple things like moving the bed to a different wall helped my insomnia (I am a Vata/wind dosha and had my head in the wind corner of the room when sleeping - of course I was restless!).

Another example, for the new office, was that I placed the reception desk with a view of the North for the therapeutic cosmic energy coming in that window and also a view out of the East facing window which is for enlightenment. My "zone of tranquility" is in this corner as well and I have a small water fountain here with a plant and on the wall I have a picture bulletin board of my doula babies.

why use it only in the office area? why not the whole business? feng shui can make or break your business depending on how you use it.
