Anywhere near the Bund?

I've had good luck several times with the worst of it being some attempts at upselling..

I don't follow them - they follow me.. to my hotel.
I was duped into the "bars" years ago, but at the time I hadn't found this forum and had no idea what I was being tricked into.

Granted 3/4 of the girls approaching are trying to scam us into some situation, but once they ask where I'm going, and I answer, "to my Hotel. Want to come along?" - the possibilities (or lack of) become obvious.

I fully agree. I once went with one of the advertisers just to check out and they did bring me to a KTV place some 4th or 5th floor. Before i went in, i already took the elevator down.... ;-)

You need to be very careful with the massages offered there, frankly I wouldnt bother. More often than not you will get taken to a bar, buy the girl a drink and get a huge bar bill. It's just not worth the risk in my opinion. I've been here 5 years and would never use them as I have heard too many bad stories.....

You could also just take a 10PM stroll along the Nanjing walk street that's near there. If you look foreign and are a solo guy, you'll be propositioned every 5 minutes.. "Sex massage"?

If you are on The Bund, ask your hotel to direct you to Glamour Bar, Bar Rouge or M1NT, there are FL's working in all of those plus they are nice bars as well

I'm staying right close to the Bund for 5 more nights..is there any good places even normal bars near here anyone can reccomend or someone to show me around 1 evening?
