Hello, I could not get in touch with my old classmates. So i want to ask here. When you go for an job interview with chiro, spa or gym, what do you wear. I don't have to give a demo yet so it's just sit and talk type of interview with potential employers.. Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.

I would wear something neat, clean and well presented that would also be appropriate for doing a massage.  Even though they might not be requiring you to do a massage on the spot, what if things change and they ask you to?  You'll be ready!  Also, they will be able to see what your idea of professional attire is.  Jeans and a sloppy t-shirt wouldn't give them a good impression and business attire isn't really appropriate for this industry.  Best to go dressed to do the job.  I would wear khakis and a collared shirt.  No jewlery and appropriate shoes.

Thank you very much for your advice. I will put on something I used to wear I was doing an internship at my school clinic. I was wondering if khakis and a collared shirt would be too casual for talk-only interviews. But I am glad asked in here. Thank you again so much!

I personally like to wear khakis and collared shirts for any type of interview. I never really knew if wearing scrubs would be professional for an interview, as some see it as VERY casual, and some see it as professional. Heh, since I started massage, I've worn khakis and collared shirt to a few interviews, while many I was wearing khaki shorts and a t-shirt, and still got the job. *shrug*The way I see it, if I'm going there with plans to rent space, THEY should be trying to impress ME, getting me to rent. Whether I'm professionally dressed or not, if I'm not impressed with the space, I move on. I don't care if the owner is wearing capris and flip-flops, it's the space that interests me.

Knowing me, since I'll probably start interviewing this time of year next year, I'll probably wear a polo, khakis and a sports jacket.
