Apricot Kernel Oil Anyone?

I have heard good things about apricot kernel oil. It has a shelf life of 12 to 14 months and is great for aging skin. I know a place were I can buy it for abut $26 a gallon, half the price of jojoba. I am concidering mixing half and half apricot to jojoba.

Please let me know how it washes out of sheets and if you have any thing else to comment on it.

Good oil, though no better, (IMO) than any of the other high quality nut oils like Kukui or macadamia, and of course, nut allergy cautions still apply. Also no better or worse for washing out of sheets than other nut oils. It can still stain, you still need to use HOT and special detergent, it can smell if you don't get it all out, though not as bad as almond oil.

What is the special detergent? Is there a certain name brand you prefer?

Tell you the truth, I have no idea. My husband does all of my massage laundry for me, and he buys the detergents and the additives. I know he uses a regular laundry detergent, but he puts some kind of additive in the wash.

I'm a student, and I have extremely sensitive skin. The other night I forgot to bring my jojoba to class and we did an exchange. My partner had apricot oil, and it was really nice. I had no allergic reaction and my skin felt very soft afteward. I bet it would blend well with jojoba.

Not sure about the laundry question though. Sorry.

We use an apricot oil in the Belavi Facelift Massage, no one has mentioned any problems so far, (touch wood).
