April in Patong

Hello Gentlemen and ladies,

Planning my first trip to SE. I was thinking of spending 7 - 10 days in Patong at the begining of April. The weather, I realise is hot. I am interested in the Monger scene as well as some golf. Was wondering if someone could tell me whether there will be pleny of girls, and partying going on at this time of year or is it considered low season. Are the pretty ones still around or have they vacated the premises for the season. Basically, what I am trying to understand is whether it is a good idea to come to Patong in April for mongering. Will also stop in Bangkok for about 3 days.

Any help is appreciated. I have read many posts, but none specifically address the mongering scene in April.

You will have no worries about the ladies in Early April. some ladies leave middle of April.

Busy time of the year due to Songkran April 13-15, so book soon.

I much prefer April to October...not so many visiting BMs

lots of new (really new) girls will be there, as schools in Thailand just ended their term, and -- maybe a sad reality -- a lot of girls might be too poor to go on further studying; after a few weeks they might be shifted out of the house to bring something back for their upbringing, especially as crops in Isaan have been not very good for the last three years due to drought (El Nino shifting over to El Ninia).

However, a lot of this high season's bunch will have made enough money to go back home over Songkran and the more clever ones will have understood, that there is low season and no business, so they might not come back.

So you get a mixed chance of success -- but as I always say, you need only one that is right...
