Aqua detox foot baths

It's been a while since I emailed the forum, due to eye ops - hopefully now I can get back on track.

I wondered if anyone has used this type of footbath alongside chiropody or a reflexology treatment, or some other holistic therapy, I don't know if they work, or if they are safe to use. [sm=scratchchin.gif]

Yes, i had a treatment and as far as I could tell it was safe!
I know it is recommended for children as well.
Alot of 'stuff' was floating in the water afterwards, and I did wonder if it came out of me or out of the thing that goes into the water in the first place. The only way to tell would be to put it in the water with no feet and see what happned after 15mins.
I did consider getting one myself to offer treatments.
Would be interested to know what others think as well.

Hi, we have this treatment at our Centre. The people who have had it so far have been very impressed. The machines themselves sell at about £800 so quite an investment.

I have been using the aqua detox now for about a year and I have had some really good results. I have had a few people who have dramatically improved there wellbeing from this, as I have had a few people with severe allergies, who don;t have any flare ups now, also had a couple of people with quite a few problems and they tend to be tired all the time and sleep during the day, but now after about 8 treatments they don't have to and have so much energy. The main improvement that I have seen in people is giving them alot more energy.

Deva with regards to your queries I had the same problem and also have had a few people who are sceptical come to me, so I did the tests. Basically when treating someone you put the array in the water and you add salt water until it reaches a certain level. When running the machine with no feet and no salt the water is clear, when running the machine with salt and the array, the water is a slight yellow colour - due to the salt reacting with the electrical current. So anything from the light lemony yellow is actually from the body.

The website for the machines is www.aquadetoxuk.com, however there is a guy in sussex who used to produce the machines for aqua detox and something obviously must of gone wrong as he doesn't do this anymore, however he has a machine which is cheaper but exactly the same! - Also his arrays are really cheap (Aqua detox charge £63 for delivery of one replacement array and Mark SG Enterprises charges £27) - This is who I use now - the website is http://www.marksg.com/detoxarrays/index.htm - however this seems to be down alot, so if you go to http://www.marksg.com then you can get his contact details etc from this website.

Thanks for the results of the test without feet Calmspirits.
I vaguely remember now that the therapist who did my treatment was telling me how there was another similar product being manufactured with the replacement arrays much cheaper and lasting longer than the aqua detox. Unfortunately I cannot contact him to find out any more as he has moved overseas.
But it has reminded me that there is a cheaper option available, just a matter of sourcing it!
I'm sure it was someone in Bourmouth or somewhere like that? If only I could remember a name...

Just so you all know there are a few different machines - these are:

Aqua Detox
Bio Detox
Platinum Detox

The link you gave Deva sells a few of these - just remember though the detox box is from the link I gave you - Mark SG so you may get it cheaper direct. Also on this link the arrays are cheaper than Aqua Detox but more expensive than Mark SG.

If you remember the one in Bournemouth then let me know.

I spoke to someone on an Aqua Detox (can't remember which make!) stand at the CHExpo. They said that the array has to be replaced after I think 20 treatments, otherwise a) it won't work and b) it will make the water go brown . She said that some makes don't recommend replacing them as often so then yo don't know if the water is going brown because of the person or because of an old array.

i must have looked at this site for a reason!!

i myself use the aqua detox and my clients love the treatment.
the machine i use is the platinum detox machine

there arrays last for 20 treatments and when those twenty treatments are up they no longer work. it ensures that each and every client has the perfect treatment.

their arranys cost £120 INC VAT and the machine itself was a bargain at £800 (which included pamplets, 2 arrays and the neccessary equipment and also came in the platinum detox travel case which is perfect for the mobile therapist.

this treatment has helped so many of my clients and they just keep comiung back!

* one client suffered from psoriasis and this has really cleared up
* another client sufferes from really bad circulation and this has been reduced dramatically
* another client suffers with everything under the sun and also uses the detox treatment alongside many other treratments such as reflexology, hopi ear candles, etc his pain (which is pretty much all over his body) has been reduced so much so that before he uses to be on 27 paracetamol and aspirins a day and has now reduced it to just 3 a day.

Hi everyone

I use the bio detox footspa and today we recieved a letter saying they are
changing the way the arrays work in the past the water would change colour but now they are making arrays in such a way that no colour will appear and they will now call the machine ionic detox. They say the only reason colour would appear is because its rust from the arrays that causing it. And theres no need to have colour anyway as the treatment will cause you to detox naturally.

We're now using O2 Detox machines, we did have Aqua Detox for 18 months but the wait on arrays was ridiculous [] and the machines kept blowing fuses[:'(], so we made them redundant!

O2 Detox came to the salon and trained myself and all of my staff which was fantastic and they also demonstrated the treatment at the salon before I decided to buy one!

The machines didn't cost as much as Aqua Detox machines and the arrays last over 40 uses and you can use Aqua Detox arrays in these machines and vice versa!

Our Detox Therapist had same probs with Aqua Detox & worse, so tried various others. Think he currently uses the Platinum Detox or Bio-Detox. Sorry don't have links at mo.

I've only just found this thread - can't believe I missed it! I know that many people are looking for the cheapest machines and arrays but I cannot recommend Bio-Sync Detox enough. The machines are slightly pricier (£1450) but this price also includes training which I don't think anyone else offers. I actually found the training invaluable as it equipped me with everything I need to know for treating clients. There is an awful lot of misunderstanding about these detox machines (eg. that different colour water means different things medically). Anyway, this machine is the one marketed by Dr. Mary Staggs who first developed the aqua detox idea. I also have access to Mary for any unanswered questions I have which again I have found invaluable when treating different conditions. I'm not sure of the exact website address but if you search on bio-sync detox you will find it.

O2 Detox came to the salon and trained me and my staff and the machine only cost £994, which included 5 arrays, footbowl liners, posters, array cleaner, leaflets and a CD Rom. They also do a cheaper machine for mobile therapists that is about £500, one of my part time therapists has bought one for her home visits, they also included posters, leaflets and CD Rom with this too.
We also get a lot of new clients sent to us from them, as they added us to the therapists database.
