Air quality in TJ has always been a problem -for people in TJ and people in San Diego. The shit fight continues between Mexico/USA on cleaning up the air but forget about it.

While there were probably more boogers in the air during the fire (some were actualy wearing surgical masks) I don't think it would hurt you much unless it was like that for months.

They dont care at the border its just a job to them as long as you arent acting weird they will just let you pass. As far as business in the Zona Im sure it wasnt busy on Sunday and Monday due to the fires. They say the air quality right now is 16X worse than just normal air. I bet it is close to back to normal in the Zona and I dont think it is going to be affected too much by this tragedy.

Never had a problem. Just be honest and don't be a tough guy. If they ask if I'm bringing anything back, I just say "God, I hope not!" Always brings a smile.

I cross almost everyday and sometimes 2 to 3 times in a single day.I never had any issues crossing.

I wonder how the boarder patrol treat American citizens that cross the border 2 to 3 times a month for a few hours of mongering then return? I know that if your not bringing back anything illegal it should be no big deal, but they got to figure out your going over for illegal prostitution. A guy like me, doesn't matter how you dress me, I always come out looking like pure white bread. Anyone run into issues with crossing over a bit too much?

I just got back and it's business as usual, plenty of girls, no delays, but you could smell it in certain areas while driving on the Freeway, especially as you got closer to San Diego.

And there was a recent article that the Border Patrol was getting ready for the new year and was going to ask more questions, but I didn't notice that either. I gave him my drivers license only, he looked at it and asked me my citizenship, and I said US, and the said have a nice night and I was back in the US.
