alot of these poor countries with foreign currencies are failing and started accepting USD/CAD.

IMO, this is where BTC steps in. More and more of these countries will start accepting btc as a legal tender and the price will go to 300k or even more per coin.

Once I'm rich AF, I'll be hobbying almost everyday

I think you are missing the point, in US and Canada inflation is at 9% "officially ", in other poorer countries its 30-90%.

Just imagine your monthly pay losing 90% of it's purchasing power before you can spend it.

Crypto is the only way to protect yourself against that inflation.

I guess it might work but the Government will be the one to determine how. If they do not allow you to pay by tapping your phone then it will never work.

In China - they are exploring digital Yuan. Most payments - even donating to a street busker is done by scanning the QR code and depositing the amount. Paying by WeChat is the norm over there.

I wouldn't want to be in those shoes, you know that even if you have digital yuan in your wallet, you cannot spend it if government says you can't. I mean, if your credit score is bad, you cannot get on the bus, train, airline even if you have money.

Convenience comes at a cost, but this cost is too high.

Problem with Bitcoin is that it is still a wild wild west out there. Still enough scammers that take advantage. Yes, if you only have a small amount it is not life changing when you lose it when your wallet or the storage place got hacked.
I do have some that I bought through BitBuy. My buy in was low and I am not even cashing them out. It is my "play money" kind of.

Yes, like here, you can use Apps like ShakePay, and you need to sell some BTC/ETH into Canadian first, but then you can just tap to pay, same as any other tap card.
