I was interested to read this in the above article:

“A lot of people don’t like to have their feet touched, as they’re quite a private part of the body. but once they get over the embarrassment of taking their socks or stockings off, they relax and enjoy it."

I have a friend who gets embarrassed like this and won't even try reflexology - anyone got advice on how to get over the barrier?

Thanks for the suggestion Rachel. Yes, I have done some hand reflexology on her and she enjoyed it. I just feel that she'd get more benefit from a foot treatment, but she says she's not comfortable about people touching her feet! Anyone else had this experience?

Hello Again,
I find that doing the hands is such a nice effective treatment and that sometimes you dont need to do the feet.
Without knowing clients history etc..i would say stick to what client feels comfortable with. Maybe after time she may well come round to your thinking....??/ The barrier may well be there for all sorts of reasons and she just isnt ready to change.
