assessment of internal organs during reiki

Hi I dont know much about reiki but want to learn. My boyfriend went for reiki recently and he was told, almost immediately and without being touched that he had no spleen. How is this possible? I really want to understand this so could somone please explain this to me? It is explainable!?!? By the way, he has no spleen as it was surgically removed about 20 years ago. He has a huge scar on his abdomen but it is nowhere near the spleen area. Please help... how was this assessment made? What am I missing?!?!? :shock:

All I know is that it was a reasonable assumption, based on a 20 year old incision. It would also be reasonable to assume that the appendix was also taken during surgery. Not all doctors did that, but many used to take whatever a person could live without, while they were "already in there". I had a doctor really mad at me for not consenting to removing a couple of organs when I had to have an abdominal cyst removed.

My first question is, was your boyfriend fully clothed at the time? Seeing a scar helps you make some assumptions.

However, IMO what he saw had nothing to do with Reiki.

The person he saw may have been gifted in other ways. There are people who can "see" issues within the body, most often called medical intuitives. These people can sense the energy patterns within the body and find medical problems this way.

Hi Rose of Sharon.... the incision is in the centre of abdomen, reaching from sternum to just below belly button/navel. Half his stomach was removed and also the spleen. I just found it amazing that she would know about the spleen as it is such a random organ (!)...

Okay, wow that is something that I have not heard about before. Would this be like seeing an internal 'aura' and being able to see areas in the bpdy cavity which lack energy? I have never heard of medical intuitives before but that sounds very interesting. I will try and read more about that. I guess its similar to people who can sense when someone is pregnant?

Do I understand it correclty then that Reiki is the channeling of energy and intent?

At the time of the diagnosis my boyfriend was undressed. Without touching him she also told him the following:
- he has pain in his legs because he runs with his arms raised up too high
- he has crystals (?) in his hips for the same reason
She did not say anything about the fact that he had half his stomach removec and also had Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Its all very interesting to me. Is someone born with this medical intuition or is it something that one learns or developes over time?
