Athletes Foot/Ringworm

Does anyone here massage the feet with gloves on? More and more of my cx's have come in with athletes foot and not said a thing to me. I have found two small patches one on each arm that I think is ringworm. All I can think is I caught it from a cx because I wouldn't have caught it anywhere else. So few ?'s- ANyone know how to treat it naturally? ANd what does one do to prevent this from happening again..

I don't have anything to say about how to treat and/or prevent it, but the woman who does pedicures at our spa wears gloves on a regular basis while massaging the feet. I think it would be a fine thing for you to do as a precaution.

Oh, and I have heard the home remedy of painting your ringworm with clear nailpolish. I guess it's supposed to suffocate them. Not sure if it's just an old wives tale, or if it really works!

Yes. If they want their feet worked, then wear gloves. One of my clients has AF and I have him wear his socks during the session. Fortunately, he comes in for sports and deep work. Besides, once you explain the dangers of AF or plantar warts or anything like them, the client is more than understanding.

Besides you have to take care of yourself and look out for your other clients.
